Due to expansion, they seek an experienced Freight Trader (Panamax) to join them in Singapore and play a pivotal role in leading their Freight Trading activities, with a focus on Panamax vessels, leveraging their expertise to optimize freight pricing, negotiate contracts, and identify market opportunities. As part of a dynamic global team, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive business success and growth.




Optimise the transportation of bulk commodities across global markets. Leveraging the fleet and strategic time charters, you’ll navigate complex supply chains, negotiate freight rates, and execute trades with precision. Your goal is to maximize profitability while minimizing risks, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. With a keen eye on market trends and a proactive approach to mitigating challenges, you’ll uphold their reputation for reliability and excellence in maritime trading. Freight Pricing and Negotiation:

• Communicate effectively with internal and external traders, clients, charterers, vessel owners, and brokers to price freight accurately.
• Utilize Freight Forward Agreement (FFA) tools and analyse external price proposals to determine fair market prices.
• Negotiate freight rates and other contractual terms in Charter Party agreements to maximize value for the company.

Relationship Management:

• Develop and nurture relationships with the trading team, identifying and pursuing trading flows complementary to the existing book.
• Develop and nurture relationships with external traders, clients, charterers, vessel owners, and brokers.
• Anticipate market demands and trends using in-house research and knowledge, positioning tonnage and cargo to extract maximum value.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

• Stay abreast of global Panamax trading routes and market dynamics, both short and long term, to anticipate changes and opportunities.
• Identify and trade arbitrage and hedging opportunities in the physical freight market to optimize trading positions.

Collaboration and Coordination:

• Liaise with internal commodity teams to anticipate demand and ensure smooth internal shipment programs.
• Work closely with freight operations teams across the organization, providing clear instructions to maximize vessel economics.


• Minimum of 10 years of commercial experience in freight trading and chartering, preferably within the dry bulk and Panamax sectors.
• Familiarity with global Panamax trading routes and a strong understanding of hedging practices and trading position management.
• Proficiency in English (both verbal and written), with proficiency in Mandarin considered an advantage.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with ship owners, charterers, and clients.
• Experience in fixing forward Contracts of Affreightment (COAs) is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural team environment, with a flexible and entrepreneurial work attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, solve problems independently, and take on responsibilities with high motivation.
• Graduate qualification in Business Administration, or relevant subject
• Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.

    Due to expansion, they are seeking a Business Development Manager – Batteries – China to be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining customer accounts, with the focus in the global supply chain of the lithium-ion battery market. The Business Development Manager will define and implement a commercial strategy with the goal to increase the growth of niobium products sales among selected OEM´s, battery cells, cathode, and anode manufacturer accounts.




    The Business Development Manager will assume a key role in developing, managing, and maintaining customer accounts for the company, with the focus on the global supply chain of the lithium-ion battery market. The Business Development Manager will define and implement a commercial strategy with the goal to increase the growth of niobium products sales among selected OEM´s, battery cells, cathode, and anode manufacturer accounts. We seek a talented, motivated, and top performer professional to join the team in this role with experience in business development in a B2B environment.


    • Support business development in its engagement efforts to develop new potential customers for niobium in the market of lithium-ion batteries.
    • Leverage and expand existing contact bases to develop new customers that could apply niobium compounds for lithium-ion batteries. This includes researching and engaging with organizations to develop additional leads for prospective customers, including but not limited to electric vehicle manufacturers, lithium-ion battery manufacturers, cathode and anode manufacturers, energy storage developers, electronic system integration manufacturers and material recyclers.
    • Manage existing customer accounts to maintain high degree of customer satisfaction and company´s business reputation and leadership.
    • Manage all necessary contract documentation including one-time service agreements, master service agreements, vendor setup documentation, and billing for specified accounts.
    • Develop forecast models for commodity demand of material components of the battery sector (e.g., Co, Li, Ni, Mn, Al, Cu, Zr, Mo, Ta, W). Build a strong knowledge base of technology and demand trends in the tech metals space to support the best commercial policy for niobium products in this market.
    • Assist the commercial and market intelligence team with contract pricing, assessing risk and exposure of CBMM products and tracking the global lithium-ion battery market and related upstream/downstream markets (cobalt, nickel, lithium, molybdenum, zirconium, tungsten, tantalum)
    • Support additional Business Development work streams as needed.
    • Support Executive Manager and team in other work streams as required.

    • University Degree in Business, Economics or Engineering preferred.
    • 5-7 years of experience in business development and customer management
    • 5-7 years of experience in the battery supply chain industry
    • Desirable having substantial experience and hands-on skills in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries supply chain mainly related with core materials and metals for lithium-ion batteries including manufacturing steps.
    • Good knowledge in cells manufacturing such as slurry preparation, electrode deposition, drying, calendering, slitting will be considered a plus.
    • Proven experience negotiating and closing supply agreements.
    • Knowledge of environmental legislation trends and impacts for the energy storage market desirable.
    • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skills.

The task is to add value to the supply chain where the element is used.       Due to expansion within Europe, they are seeking a Technical Market Development Specialist – Europe to be responsible for providing technical support to their customers (focusing on steel production), potential customers and partners in the whole world, including intermediates and end-users of steel, with the main purpose of enlarging the Niobium marketplace.




      • Providing technical support to their customers (focusing on steel production), potential customers and partners in the whole world, intermediate and end-users of steel with the objective of solving problems, improving quality, reducing costs, improving productivity and production stability, or developing the production of a specific product.
      • Research scenario, development of products or processes that can create new market opportunities.
      • Establishing links with various companies, agents, consultants, and suppliers within the supply chain to facilitate potential new business and technology developments.
      • Building knowledge of customers and informing them on market demand, market trends and the demands for technology.
      • Coordinate technical projects and technology developments involving companies, universities, research centers/institutions and customers.

      This is a technology focused role which would require a background education and solid experience in the specific area of expertise of long and flat steel products. It also requires communication and personal skills for an international role with direct interaction with customers and partners.


      • The candidate is required to be a Materials/Metallurgy/Industrial/Mechanical/Materials Science engineer.
      • Postgraduation in Metallurgy or Materials Science is highly appreciated.
      • Minimum of 10 years’ experience interacting with steel mills with good knowledge of steel products and production processes (steelmaking, continuous casting, hot rolling, finishing/conditioning, and heat treatments).
      • Experience and knowledge on steel characterization, including microstructure analysis, mechanical testing, and interpretation of results.
      • Specific understanding of the role of Niobium in micro alloyed steels and experience with Niobium micro alloyed steels are very positive differentials.
      • The candidate is expected to be fluent in English language and exhibit a very well-developed set of communication skills.
      • Ability to develop working relationships with people from different backgrounds and cultures (customers, sales, production, industry leaders).
      • Teamwork is an extremely important aspect internally and externally in this role.
      • It is of the utmost importance that the candidate can objectively and proactively manage and lead the implementation of action plans with customers.
      • Ability to live and work in either the Netherlands or Germany.




      • Engineering with any of those backgrounds: Materials, Metallurgy, Production, Mechanical.
      • Master’s degree or PhD in Materials or Metallurgy is highly appreciated.
