Our client is a local manufacturing and engineering solutions company with projects in telecommunications, energy, water and power. It has been in the business for more than 40 years and is continually growing and expanding not just in Malaysia but the whole of Asia.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Senior Finance Manager will report directly to the General Manager of Finance and will oversee the main business of the company as well as its subsidiaries.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Accounting

Assist the GM in his general duties and achievement of the Group Financial Strategies and achievement of Finance Division KPI’s

Assist the GM in driving continuous process reengineering, operations review, cost reductions and operational efficiencies

Assist the GM in preparation of corporate reports, forecasts, budgets and tax planning

Ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements and internal controls.

Lead ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation

Drive ERP fulfillment & expectations process across the Group.

Lead Investment Analysis – acquiring of companies, projects both locally and overseas

Align Finance function with the Group Business Plan

Lead and ensure compliance to financial reporting requirements and internal controls.

Undertake investment & projects analysis, due diligence exercise.

Provide guidance and direction to Unit Heads

Drive budget process, periodic forecasting, and analysis of Group performances

Ensure compliance to operational and financial controls and timely reporting schedules.

Provide supervision and guidance to Finance staffs.

Assist in formulation & execution of financial strategies & policies.

Participate & contribute to Group wide business process re-engineering

Authorization or Approval of staff requisition, leave application, purchase orders, journals and payments

Ad-hoc assignments such as matters relating to investment, acquisition, business development, contract review and others.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accountancy

Professional Qualification such as ACCA or CIMA or MIA

At least 15 years of experience in related field preferably in engineering, manufacturing and construction environment.

Experience in implementation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).

Strong hands-on knowledge of consolidation, FRS (Financial Reporting Standard) and other statutory guidelines.

Strong cost accounting knowledge in an ETO (Engineered to Order) & project environment.
