The role will oversee and ensure management of Operational Risk for Global Transaction Services and also provide guidance and challenge to the relevant business units in a multinational bank.
The aim of the role is to:
• Act as the principal Operational Risk contact in Indonesia for the GTS business.
• Manage a team of Operational Risk professionals and subject matter experts.
• Agree GTS operational risk strategy, plans and activities.
• Initiate, define, control and deliver operational risk projects
• Act as the principal operational risk contact for the GTS Business and its Senior Management within Indonesia.
• Provide country risk assessments and advice to ensure that the GTS business understands its operational obligations and actions necessary to satisfy them.
• Assist Senior GTS Management in its interaction with Global Management team.
• Help GTS identify, communicate and mitigate operational risks affecting its business.
• Ensure the Group’s operational risk requirements are being met and implemented across the GTS business areas in Indonesia.
• Lead and manage the operational risk team of professionals and ensure appropriate staff development and training at all levels.
• Represent Operational Risk at all appropriate Risk and Business committees and meetings.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:-
• Expert knowledge of operational risk management processes and their supporting systems across multiple lines of business and/or geographies.
• Directs the overall process for risk analysis and trend analysis.
• Knowledge of concepts such as six sigma. Use knowledge to design and direct measures to reduce manual or redundant efforts in operational processes.
• Is seen as a trusted adviser, providing consultation on routine, non-routine and complex Operational Risk issues. Resolves requests in a timely, high quality manner.
• Partners with business leaders to implement means for product enhancement and / or risk reduction based on best practices and benchmarking activities.
